Spring Medieval Maternity Shoot

My eye cannot see you.

My will cannot control you.

But I feel your presence,

and I note your being

and I wish you all blessings,

and I love you. – “World of the Womb” by Tikva Frymer-Kensky

This gorgeous couple travelled overseas for holidays – from New Orleans for a week long break in the Spanish sun! They had booked the City Mini Session with me – a short and sweet 30 minutes in the historic district of Palma. I offer these sessions as my studio is located right in the center of the old town and offers convenience for me and beautiful surroundings for my clients. I sat waiting in the sun on the stairs at my usual meeting point – Cappuccino Cafe Palau March. They had booked online and came from overseas meaning I had no idea who I was looking for. I waited with camera in hand so they would be able to locate me. A taxi pulled up, the door opened and out stepped a goddess! I knew immediately that these were my people. Stunning, stunning! She wore a flowing white dress and a gold headpiece against her dark hair and he wore a white jacket with pastel-coloured trousers. We started our shoot there along the stairs and then moved it into the medieval gardens of S’Hort del Rei alongside Palacio Almudaina. The fruit trees and flowers were in full bloom and the greens of the pine trees thick and lush. Although her little one will be here in only three short months, the baby bump was a bit hidden, with her height and passersby thought they were bride and groom and wished them “Felicidades”!
