Vintage, Breathtaking and Perfect. A Rural Finca Wedding

This gorgeous finca is set high on a hill with a backdrop of Montuiri, Mallorca and provided the perfect setting for wedding planner Simone Lehr from Mallorca Princess to add details against this amazing backdrop and unique finca. Her special touch to wedding detail added the extra special essence and feel to the day. The finca’s Asian design elements in furniture, decoration and lighting give this house a special charm that sets it apart from the rest. The ceremony took place in the terrace next to the house overlooking quaint farmland below and a distant ocean on the horizon. The reception was held alongside the infinity pool graced with Balinese sun beds and framed by palm trees.

The wedding was a small gathering of very close family and friends. Many among the twenty guests were children who seemed to sense that this day was very special and were equally involved in every aspect. The intimate atmosphere and the quality of the surroundings provided these guests with an experience that could only happen in a wedding that small. Every guest’s gesture became significant and every spoken word meaningful and contributed greatly to this couple’s very special day.

The bride’s dress came from the always trending Spanish bridal shop Pronovias whose collections never cease to dazzle. The dress called “Jenson” fit comfortably so our bride could move with ease through the many transitions of her day. The fancy silky bridal shoes by Menbur were the perfect compliment to the beautiful dress. Our groom suit was from the ever-funky Mr. Ash Tailor Store, from Stuttgart, Germany. The vintage wool eggplant-coloured vest and yellow suspenders reflected the wedding colour palette and provided an element of fun during the intensely emotionally moving ceremony. The crafted groom’s shoes came from Lloyd’s. Right before the ceremony, the bride gifted the groom with an amazing and stylish watch from Kerbholz.

The moving ceremony was celebrated by Diana Hirsch and was conducted in the guests native German tongue. There was not a dry eye and seeing the children’s reaction to the unification of this beautiful couple was especially touching. Transitional, quiet moments were interluded by flamenco guitar. Sitting high on the hill overlooking the valley below with the wind blowing through the hair and listening to this guitar music amidst beautiful emotion made for reflection and introspection of the moment. I felt so honoured to be a part of their day.

Tina Herlitze who has recently held the grand opening for her new salon in Bendinat called, Tina Herlitze the Hairstylist Bendinat, and her assistant from made an already stunning bride even more stunning with hair and make-up using a natural look and hues that accented the bride’s flower colour palette. The amazing flower crown, created by Flowerscence gracefully adorned the bride’s head at an angle that sat naturally. This unique placement of the flower crown gave the impression of elegant vintage and contrast against her blonde hair.

Guests enjoyed Spanish tapas after the ceremony while the bride and groom were busy with couple’s photos. Fun hats, sunglasses and straw parasols made for a celebratory backdrop. Following tapas, guests moved to the finca’s lower terrace for an amazing dinner provided by D’Calvache Luxury Catering. Special mention again to Simone from Mallorca Princess for gorgeous table setting and colourful design that added to the festivities. Following dinner, guests moved to the poolside that was decorated with a stunning lighting set-up. The first dance additional special lighting and was brought in with a sparkler entrance!
