I met Jordan & Ieuan on probably the coldest day of the winter in the year prior to their wedding. As we shivered in the cold it was difficult to think that in just six months this would be their wedding venue during which guests would celebrate into the late hours of the morning wearing the lightest of clothing. This couple presented themselves as fun and sophisticated. With their striking looks and excellent wedding planner Olivia from A White Hot Wedding, I very much looked forward to their day as a highlight of my wedding season. Jordan has a strong attachment to the island as her parents have a beautiful place here and that is where I went for the Getting Ready Photos where I was happy to find the talented make-up artist Marta Lula and several beautiful bridesmaids when I arrived. The day was exceedingly hot and bright so photos on the terraces were out and we stayed in the cool, air-conditioned living room amongst some glasses of cava and a lot of laughter.
On arrival to the venue, the beautiful and elegant Spanish finca Son Termens, we found guests happily mingling with glasses of lemonade in hand and parasols overhead. The altar was draped in airy white curtains that moved with the refreshing breeze and was decorated elaborately in florals by Olivia Alexandra – the soft colours of the flowers mixing perfectly with the surroundings, bridal bouquet and bridesmaids dresses. Jordan’s wedding gown, from London’s boutique bridal shop Mirror Mirror, was light and airy withstanding the intense Mallorca summer heat. The groom and groomsmens suits were the colour of the season – a distinguished dark blue from Cad & Dandy in London offset by blue ties apart from the groom who wore an elegant pink tie. Touching words and meaningful moments were made in the presence of family and friends through the thoughtful and experienced words of Annie from Ceremonies in Mallorca.
The detailing of the dining area was exquisite – from the table settings to the lighting. Every minute detail had been considered – which you can see down to the font of the stationery and the table plan. Jordan made a change of clothing, hair and make-up with Marta Lula prior to making their grand entrance for dinner. Son Termens provides its own catering and their food is so tasty and satisfying leaving nothing to be desired. Touching speeches were made between courses and the evening didn’t wind down – it wound up! Jordan and Ieuan had a surprise in store for their guests! As they gathered inside the impressive dance hall the bride and groom played up their roles as dancers to the rhythms of salsa music. It was clear from their first dance choice that this couple enjoys a very healthy competition with each other. Their dance was sexy, fierce and fast with a lot of fun and vigour that resulted in the guests joining in and energy remaining high. Although I left in the early morning hours, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that it went on until sunrise!
What an amazing day and absolutely gorgeous memories! ♥
